Some photos of the plexiglas cover for the flybridge instruments. Should work well to shield from glare, and also create a place out of the wind to place stuff.

You can barely see right in front of the gauges in front of the wheel, the GPS and depth finder folded down. During use, they fold up into view.

The plexiglas closed covers all the instruments completely.
