Contraptions

My contraptions made for the Fantastic Contraption puzzle.

You don't have to go to the site above to see my solutions, if you click on the images below it will send you to the site with that contraption loaded so you can see it in action.

1

Rolling Away

"Rolling Away" - Just a balance beam. Only put this up here so there was something for this puzzle.

2

Reach Up

"Wrong Goal" - Tried for a harder goal.
"Reach Up & Hang" - Goes across the gap, then drapes itself over the cube.
"Reach Up" - Chucks a spear.

3

Mind The Gap

"Walker 2" - A walking machine.
"Gap Extend" Extends across the gap without ever touching the other side. Stops after acheiving the goal.
"Overly Complica"Overly complicated. It dies a slow death, so zoom all the way back and watch until it dissapears.

4

Junkyard

"Junk Bulldozer"Pretty simple. Brute force.

5

The Wall

"The Wall" A REALLY big wheel.

6

On a Roll

"Balance Act 2" Simple 2 wheel balance.

7

Full-up

"Full-Up Simple"Like the name says, simple.

8

Higher

"Higher Tip"Tip the Scales. No wheels, just let it tip over.
"Creepy Crawley"Simple. Just a lot of wheels.
"Higher - Simple"Really Simple.

9

Around the Bend

"Backwards"Simple - but the obvious way was to the right. So I did it to the left.

10

Up The Hump

"Up The Hump"Just a simple solution.
"Up the hump"Drag it over.

11

Mission to Mars

"Mission to Mars"Simple leverage. Nothing but one bar for a laver and several bars for counter-balance.

12

Up The Stairs

"Stair Gun" - This uses a piston in a tube to make a gun that fires the ball through the air. Nothing but net.
"Up The Stairs" - Just a basic articulated wheeled vehicle.
"Up The Stairs"Simple track vehicle.
"Futile"This doesn't work, but it was an interesting concept. It manages to clear all the balls and it's entertaining to watch.

13

Big Ball

"2 Big Balls 2" - I wasn't satisfied with just doing the puzzle. Let's knock some of the large balls down while we're at it.
"Big Ball" Get there first. Example of a simple torque application.

14

Four Balls

"Four Balls"Simple windmill. One wheel and a frame. No fumbling, gets one ball per blade.

15

Down Under

"Down Under Ext"Extend a chute and gently drop the ball on the platform.
"Down Under"Simplest one I could do. 2 wheels, a chain and a base.

16

Awash

"Awash - Big"Brute force.
"Awash - Top"Over the top. No balls escape. Does one backwards tumble, but gets back on it's feet and makes it the second time.

17

Handling

"Handling"Nothing special. But it works. Relatively simple.

18

Tube

"Tube"Took me a while to do this one. Finally a simple one. But instead of spreading out the wheels to create friction, it twists the frames.
"Tube - Stays"Simpler Tube. The ball stays in the target zone.

19

Back and Forth

"Back and Forth"Pretty simple solution.

20

Unpossible

"Unp ramp 3" My first attempt at this was really complicated and involved raising the entire ramp and pushing it forward. I got the technique of the top moving ramp from someone else. But it was days later before I tried it, so the execution was mine.

21

U-Turn

"U-Turn Smooth"A very simple one. Much like others I have seen, but mine operates very smooth. Also, what you see here has remained un-changed since the first time I clicked "start" the very first time. I did this puzzle is less than 15 seconds.
"Around the End"Sling it around the left instead of traveling through the tube.
